A bomb must go off, destroying all nations in our group. Weeping relatives
of these nationals who were out of the EEC at the time must die of grief, to
prevent them forming makeshift teams and nicking 0-1 wins in the replayed
games. England must be the only country left unscathed, but the radioactive
fallout must infect our players, giving them superhuman footballing
abilities (Justin Edinburgh obviously excused), and a total rethink will see
Terry Venables lead us through the first ever real 'Group Of Death', to the
finals and glory. We then lose to Germany on penalities.
