Excellent win there for the highly competitive and always entertaining
JuJo Wanderers on hostile foreign soil. The cautious approach to the
game and the big prematch rest with no training whatsoever really paid
off for the visitors.

I liked the way the home side attempted to draw you into their half
with the midfield dropping back to allow easy access and then, once
you'd secured a few well struck shots, hit you full force with
everything they had. A totally different style from their usual
stoical resistance in every position across the park.

It seemed like you were pushing elephants up staircases for a while
there with players looking as if they didn't know whether they were
coming or going until you craftily resorted to the lone striker.
Keeping the formation fluid and resisting the urge to shoot whilst so
far out certainly proved to be the right tactics. Lengthy periods of
soaking it up yourselves, sitting out the inevitable onslaught, and
then hitting them on the break has worked for far bigger teams and
your lot adapted to the strategy well.

I was a little concerned when those in the gods began throwing things
onto the park and my heart was in my mouth when your star players were
repeatedly hit by the bad tempered shitstorm, but apparently that's to
be expected in some of these backwaters where respect and decency are
no more than words in a big book. Thankfully the ref permitted play to
continue as it would have been a crying shame to see such a determined
effort all come to nought. It may be cliched but the majority of
viewers really do enjoy seeing the good guys win.

I don't recall being so engrossed in a game of football since Cypher
FC did battle with Everest Town a couple of seasons ago. Of course
your win will be remembered for steely determination, resolute
resolve, that ever so close call, and Juicy turning out to be a
ginger, rather than for the throwing of a match when it was all there
to play for, but both shall remain in my top five favouritest matches
ever for quite some time I should think.

Did it just get really cold in here?
